The M.O.A. Corporation is manufacturing
a STAINLESS STEEL replacement receiver, for your 10-22.
The receiver is
machined to accept all the stock parts of the original rifle.
The hole
for the barrel, is tapped for a 3/4-16 threaded barrel. Yet, the
minor diameter of the thread is reamed at .6875, to accept the standard
slip in barrel. Also, the receiver will be drilled and tapped for
second holddown screw, just behind the trigger guard. This gives you
a holddown screw front and rear to hold the receiver securely. This
allows for better bedding conditions and also free floating of the
barrel. A notch for this extra lug must be cut in the stock, at the
bottom rear of the receiver pocket.
