Photos of MOA's built on the "17 degree frame",

You might recognize the range box, and Dean Grua's 6.5BR with a media
blasted SS fluted, full bull, (1.25") diameter barrel; Dean, a longtime
IHMSA campaigner, happily gave us permission to feature his gun here on
our pages, and I am glad he did. This is one of the most eye-catching MOA's
out there. The other gun (above lower right) is featured on our other pages.

Also from our archives, also built on a 17 degree frame, and also
discontinued, the last MOA Carbine design.

Here are some photos of a very early MOA....chambered in .308 Win. this was actually
the #2 Production gun sold! Small changes since then, including improved sights, etc.

This photo is from a SHOT Show in the 90's.
Pictured Left to Right are Gary Morris, Richard Mertz, Mike Dayton, and Riley Brewer.
Rich is in good company; all three are multiple State and International IHMSA Winners,
supporting the man that built the guns that got them there....

This was an article from the Nov. 1999 Shooters News, penned by writer and LR
Handgun enthusiast Ron Sabo. At that time, many silhouette and benchrest en-
thusiasts shot on the benches at Kelbly's (Home of the Super Shoot) in Ohio,
creating a blueprint for what many of us will be doing a full decade later, in
Sundance, Wyoming.....

Thanks Ron!

This page has been created by the "MOA Shooters Committee", comprised of past and future participants of the MOA Match, with the permission and acknowledgment of Gateway Precision Arms and MOA Corporation. The Committee's interest is to promote and enhance participation in this Match, and in the sport of long range handgunning. Our combined goal is to "share the knowledge of techniques, technology, and equipment that will enhance our experience and success in the sport". Our continual interest in product development and improvement via our feedback as users, will serve to stimulate vendor participation with the introduction of products that work for our (handgunning) needs. And finally, by encouraging the "new" shooter, we will enable the sport to grow.

Interested parties should consult the Annual LongRange Handgun Match,  the Rules and Regulations,
the 2017 Entry Form or for additional Match information or questions call Richard Mertz at (307) 283-3030
